I have attended further training courses in acupuncture for pregnancy and am able to offer the following acupuncture services. related pain.
Acupuncture for Induction
If you are at full term and have a medical induction booked, with permission from your midwife or doctor, I can administer acupuncture to help naturally induce birth before your scheduled induction. Usually 2 sessions are required 48 hours apart. Learn more about the evidence for acupuncture here.

Moxa is a herb which can be burnt next to a specific acupuncture point on the side of the little toe. The effect is to make the baby move more and so help it turn into a head down position. It is best tried from 34 weeks for 10 mins twice a day for up to 10 days. You will be given Moxa and instructions to continue this at home.

“I can’t recommend this class highly enough. I have always had a dodgy back and had tried Pilates years ago but it didn’t really work for me. I decided to try it during pregnancy and it has been amazing. Tanya is a fantastic tutor who not only teaches you exercise moves, but also provides handouts as reminders and really useful information at the start of each class about all different aspects of pregnancy and birth. If you’re considering taking a pregnancy class, this is a great one.”
