About PhysioNatal®

Helping you feel understood, supported, and confident in your recovery

At PhysioNatal®, recovery is about more than simply treating symptoms. I take the time to understand what may be driving them and identify the factors that could be affecting your recovery.

I work with women and men of all ages who are experiencing pain, injury, persistent symptoms or difficulties that are affecting their quality of life. I also provide specialist support for women during pregnancy, postnatal recovery and beyond.

Whether you are recovering from pregnancy and birth, struggling with ongoing pain, recovering from surgery or dealing with symptoms that have not responded to traditional approaches, my goal is to help you understand your body, restore confidence in movement and support lasting recovery.

I combine expert physiotherapy with advanced, hands-on treatment and a deeper understanding of the relationship between the body, nervous system and life experiences. This allows me to take a more complete approach to recovery, helping people who often feel unheard, stuck or unsure where to turn next.

Tanya has helped me so much since the birth of my children. Her Mummy MOTs are so invaluable with her amazing expertise with physiotheraphy but also her extended knowledge in visceral manipulation and somatic experiencing. I recommend her to everyone who needs some help with their body. You won't regret it.

I've only had one session so far, but I was really impressed. Tanya was very friendly, professional and took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt comfortable at all times and never rushed, which made the whole experience very reassuring. I'm feeling confident about continuing treatment and would happily recommend her based on my first appointment.

Tanya has an incredible ability to relax you and make you feel safe. I was able to release some negative emotions. I truly felt lighter and able to move forward positively, knowing I had some techniques to draw on, should I need to. I cannot recommend Tanya highly enough and have been sharing my experience enthusiastically!

Tanya quickly diagnosed the cause of problems I was having with my neck and shoulders. Through gentle manipulation she eased the pain I was experiencing and gave me exercises to prevent further problems and improve my posture. A very positive experience.

I saw Tanya on and off for about a year after my second child. I had various diaphragm, lower back and pelvic issues and all were greatly helped by sessions with Tanya. I experienced what I felt like old trauma leaving my pelvic area, a transformative experience. We also saw each other for somatic experiencing sessions which I highly recommend, we worked on the nervous system, boundaries, anger and lots more.

Meet Tanya

I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 and founded my clinic in 2013 after leaving the Army.

While physiotherapy remains the foundation of my work, I became increasingly aware that lasting recovery often requires looking beyond muscles, joints and exercise alone. This led me to pursue extensive postgraduate training in Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing.

Today, I work with both men and women experiencing musculoskeletal pain, persistent symptoms, scar-related problems and complex presentations that have often not responded to more conventional approaches. I also have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and C-section rehabilitation.

I have been studying Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute since 2013 and am proud to serve as a teaching assistant for the UK faculty.

My own experience of pregnancy, birth and motherhood profoundly shaped the way I work and deepened my understanding of how physical symptoms, emotions, life experiences and the nervous system interact. Like many women, I was surprised by how little support was available for recovery after birth. Even as a physiotherapist, I underestimated the physical and emotional impact of pregnancy and motherhood.

That experience deepened my understanding of how much women carry through pregnancy, birth and motherhood, and how often they are expected to navigate recovery with little guidance or support. Today, helping women understand their bodies and feel more confident in their recovery remains an important part of my work.

My aim is simple: to provide a calm, safe space where people feel understood, gain clarity about what is happening in their body and leave with a clear path forward.
